Rebates from Enbridge Sustain
Enbridge Gas, Save on Energy, and the Ontario Government have partnered to offer significant rebates for eligible heat pump installations. These rebates make it more affordable to improve your home’s comfort and energy efficiency. You can apply for rebates on single upgrades or bundled upgrades for additional savings.

Guelph Greener Homes Program
The Guelph Greener Homes program gives homeowners a chance to make meaningful energy efficient upgrades without carrying the full cost on their own. Eligible residents can receive up to $15,000 toward an air source heat pump, along with support for a wide range of other improvements.
Eligibility
This program is available to:
- Residential low rise properties in Guelph with an active property tax account.
- Properties whose registered owners all consent to participation.
- Properties with no back taxes, liens, or title disputes.
- Homes that are more than five years old.
- Projects that have not yet started.
- Applicants who agree to enroll in a twelve month pre authorized payment plan that uses the same bank account for both property tax payments and the Guelph Greener Homes loan repayment.

- Grants up to $15,000
- No administration fee
- Deposit down payment is 50 percent of the project cost
- Property owners must be the primary residents
Application Stages
Stage 1: Register
Provide the property tax roll number, address, and contact information.
Stage 2: Request funds
Submit a pre retrofit energy audit, contractor quotes, and details about other loans or grants.
Stage 3: Complete the project
Submit a post retrofit energy audit, final invoices, and updated loan or grant information. The final loan amount is released after approval.

Ontario Home Renovation Savings Program
This program ends on December 31, 2025, which means now is the final opportunity to take advantage of these savings. Through the Home Renovation Savings Program, you can save up to $7,500 on a new heat pump.
Eligibility
To qualify for a heat pump rebate, you must:
- Own the home where the heat pump will be installed. If the home is rented, the property owner must apply.
- Be an Enbridge Gas customer with an active account and primarily heat your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler, or be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and heat your home electrically.
- Live in a single detached home, semi detached home, row house, townhome, or a mobile home on a permanent foundation.
- Live in a home that is more than six months old. Newly built homes that have been occupied for six months or less do not qualify.
How to Apply
- Confirm your eligibility
Complete the short form to verify eligibility and receive a list of participating HVAC contractors, such as Able Air. The contractor will help you choose the best heat pump for your home.
- Complete the upgrades
Contact Able Air to install your new heat pump.
- Receive your rebate
Able Air will submit all required documents on your behalf. After the application is approved, you will receive your rebate.
